From July to December 2016, researchers with the Results for Development Institute carried out key informant interviews and site visits with technology innovation hubs and policymakers in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, and Tanzania.  They were investigating whether hubs have impacted how citizens engage with policymaking.  While stakeholders recognize a more overt potential role for hubs in promoting social change, in many cases, the necessary mutual trust, understanding of incentives, and shared buy-in are lacking.

In a small workshop, the R4DI researchers will present these findings to the IDS and University of Sussex community, and share some inspiring exceptions.
