Event | September 28, 2017 - October 6, 2017 | Washington, DC

The 2017 Global Innovation Week (#2017GIW) will bring together leading innovators, industry experts, researchers, and scientists to showcase the latest thinking around innovation in government, global health and international development.

Building upon the 13th annual Grand Challenges Meeting (1-4 October) the #2017GIW will kick off at USAID on 28-29 September 2017, with an Evidence and Innovation Day on Thursday 28 September and a Scale and Impact Summit on Friday 29 September.

Focused plenaries and working breakouts will allow participants to dive into discussions on how technology and other innovations can effectively address development challenges and increase capacity at the local level.

An Innovation Marketplace will feature nearly 100 promising, high-potential innovators from over 45 different countries who are working in their local communities to support long-term impact in improving local access to education, health services, and energy.

The week will conclude with the 7th Annual Mobiles for Education (mEducation) Alliance Symposium (on 5-6 October) that will bring together, at the U.S. Institute for Peace, approximately 250 global thought leaders and practitioners interested in how technology is used to improve education, including low-resource settings.

Four Making All Voices Count innovators have been chosen to participate in Global Innovation Week in Washington, DC.

Follow the conversations that will take place online at #2017GIW.
