Sahara Sparks Conference is the largest ICT event organized in Tanzania. The conference is aiming at bringing together the ICT stakeholders and decision makers to discuss the impact of ICT to the local communities and to plan strategically on how technology can be used as a tool to improve people's lives in every aspect of development. The platforms aim to connect individuals from public and private sectors, governmental and nongovernmental organizations, startups and established companies that use and implement ICT projects, initiatives and ideas to change people’s lives.
On May 14, Making All Voices Count hosts a session in the ICT and Good Governance track: “What makes tech successful in bringing citizens and government together?”
The session aims to achieve the following objective:
- To explore the governments’ take on innovations that aim to improve citizen’s participation in governance issues - what’s their experience using tech?
- To explore citizen’s/CSOs take on innovations that aim to improve citizen’s participation in local governance issues - what’s their experience using tech?
