The Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) is a multi-stakeholder platform for public policy on the internet and its impact on society. The 8th APrIGF will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 26 to 29 July 2017. It is co-hosted by Chulalongkorn University, the country’s first university, and National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, the country’s telecommunication regulator, with supports from local, regional, and global partners.
The conference program will consist of three parts: the pre-event meetings, the core conference, and the Youth IGF Camp.
Making All Voices Count partners, Foundation for Media Alternatives, will be presenting a panel discussion based on their work in the Philippines on Evolving an Open e-Governance Index for Networked Societies. They will discuss a proposed index of measuring an "open" eGovernance based on the following dimensions: meshed eGovernment; e-participation; digital inclusion; use of ICTs by civil society; enabling environment.
