What we do in Ghana

A member of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) since 2011, Ghana has made significant commitments to improving its accountability over the past several years, guided by its OGP national action plans.

However, despite positive economic growth and progress against development indicators, the country faces serious and persistent governance challenges around the quality of public services including energy, education, water and health services.

To support improvements in public services, Making All Voices Count projects in Ghana focus on increasing public participation in government budgeting processes, ensuring that ordinary people have a voice in how public money is being spent, and making government data open, available and accessible to the public.
