Inclusive governance
Making All Voices Count works across a number of overlapping and mutually reinforcing thematic areas. Many of the projects we support are not easily categorised by theme: some fall into more than one of our thematic areas, while some are not quite a natural fit for any of them.
Projects under the theme of inclusive governance are working to ensure that marginalised groups have the chance to engage in local, national and international governance processes – from working with women in rural Kenya have their priorities included in local government discussions, to supporting squatter communities in the Philippines to register their concerns on disaster preparedness.
Research under this theme focuses on citizens who are ‘hard to reach’ with tech for transparency and accountability initiatives, and asks which social differences can be narrowed by technology.
