This month, Making All Voices Count's latest Pitching Event ‪#‎Tech4CitizenVoice‬  launches in South Africa.

Applicants can win up to £40,000 to support their innovative approach to improve citizen-government relations.

The themes for the Event are:

'Safe Spaces' - finding innovations to help ordinary people feel safe to voice concerns and criticisms to government actors; and

'Local Action' - building and supporting community action to improve government service delivery, from better education and health, to more jobs and safer roads.

Prizes

Up to 10 finalist ideas will be selected to pitch before a jury, and the best three will receive incubation for up to six months. Incubation will support the winners to take their project from idea to reality, and move towards a grant of up to £40,000.

Key Dates: 

- Applications open on 20 July and close on 19 August 2015 23:59 GMT;
- Finalists announced on 21 August 2015;
- Pitching session and announcement of winners on 31 August 2015.
