Event | December 18, 2017 - December 21, 2017 | Geneva, Switzerland

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a multi-stakeholder forum that promotes discussions about public policy issues relating to the Internet.  The IGF facilitates a common understanding as to how Internet opportunities can be maximised whilst addressing risks and challenges that arise. It is also a forum which gives developing countries the same opportunity as wealthier nations to engage in the debate on Internet governance and facilitates their participation in existing institutions and arrangements. This year's theme is called "Shape Your Digital Future", aiming to enable discussions on Internet governance issues in a bottom-up, open and inclusive manner.

Making All Voices Count partners, Foundation for Media Alternatives based in the Philippines, alongside Colnodo from Colombia, will be hosting a panel at the event on: Evolving a Global Open eGovernance Index (OeGI) for Network Societies. The session will present the concept of Open e-Governance Index (OeGI), its background and results in Hong Kong, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Colombia, Uganda and Indonesia.
